The sky is falling. I say that is good. This is all about taking out the trash, and trimming the trees, and watering and weeding the garden.
Growth is a wonderful thing but it cannot run rampant forever. Government seems to try to prohibit failure when, they should be allowing it to happen.
Why should they let the sky fall? First, it is not the job of the government to makes us happy and provided everything for us. It is their job to allow individuals to persue those things on their own.
Sometimes we will hit and sometimes we will miss. That is how life is.
But it is this act of doing - and in doing, failing sometimes - that we achieve our greatness. Taking failure away does not prevent it from happening. And when it does happen, after an unnatural - think government intervention - postponement, it will be worse.
So, the sky is falling. The reason is simple. It needs to. That is what keeps us, long term, in balance.
