Barack Obama, at a time when everyone is cutting back, wants to grow government by adding over 600,000 people to the payroll. Am I the only one seeing something wrong with that move.
Today, in his speach on the economy, he said he would add 3.2 million jobs, with 80% of those jobs being in the private sector. Later, the wording was changed to "add or save."
Not only that, Obama, audaciously said,"...at this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe...”
Adding to his bravado, he also stated, “Only government can break the vicious cycles that are crippling our economy..."
Yep, only the government! Why does liberalism always look to government first?
Too bad that all of this stimulus, bailout, stimulus idiocy is going to take us years to undo; if it can be undone.
First, I thought being POTUS was a full time job. Where is Obama going to find the time to start and run a business that creates that many jobs? Oh wait, presidents don't create jobs. They can only create an invironment that makes it easier for businesses to do, well, business.
And government should be doing this by staying out of the way. I have to cut back. Most likely, you do too. When is the government going to do so?
